Google’s Android One project which launched last year with Lava, Karbonn and spice is all set to launch another Android One which will cost you less than $50 approx Rs.3200.

Google has not yet revealed the specification of upcoming Android One Smartphones. Let’s see how much much will it cost for the makers and profitability on the $50 android one smartphone.
A display is one of the most expensive part of your smartphone. Some displays cost about 5000-6000 INR. But Android One will not feature these expensive Display units. A budget phone may feature 4 to 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) display, which would cost approx. $8.

Let me remind you that, Google has launched Android One project to reach to people who has never used smartphone and by making them affordable, Google wants everyone to be a smartphone user.
“With Android One we set the bar to be a great software experience and a great device. We really want to bring in a whole new set of people who have never tried a smartphone before. ”
-Sundar Pichai, CEO, Google.
Why Google is making smartphone affordable?
Google’s Primary business is marketing and advertising and Android is owned by Google. Every Android user is Google’s customer and these customers help Google earn Billions of dollars each month. It’s long term goal for google rather than making profit on selling these Android One phones.
Let’s wait for for specs and see, if the next Android One will be worth to wait or not. What’s your opinion? Do let us know, in comments below.
