A step by step guide for the rooting process is listed in detail below. Please refer it while rooting your devices. Stick to the steps as determined.
ENABLE USB DEBUGGING:
Firstly enable USB Debugging your K3 Note. If you haven’t enabled it yet just run down to the Settings and tap on about phone seven times. This unlocks developer options where you can find USB Debugging. Once you find it turn it on.
PREPARING FILES TO FLASH:
Unzip the CWM, Supersu and ADB zip files which you previously downloaded to a single folder. Unzipping CWM.zip will give recovery.img file for Lenovo K3 Note. ADB files now display adb, fastboot and recovery applications. Don’t run them yet.
USING ADB TOOLS TO ROOT:
Migrate over to ADB files folder and press SHIFT to run Windows Command Prompt. Connect you device to the PC and type the command ‘adb devices’ and hit enter. If things worked properly the window will show your attached device. Next step is to press ‘adb bootloader’. This command drives your cell into fastboot mode. Bootloader is visible on the device display now. Proceed by typing ‘fastboot recovery’ but don’t press enter but hit space. In order to root it is necessary to flash recovery.img thus; drag and drop the file recovery.img into command prompt and press enter. It may take a few minutes to flash the file. The only thing remaining now is to reboot your device. So enter ‘fastboot reboot’ and unplug your device once it is rebooted.
Once the device is rebooted power it off because we still have to install Supersu. Hold Volume Up+Down and Power button together to access recovery mode. Using volume buttons navigate while selection is done via power button. Choose your desired language and select install from a .zip option. Find the Supersu.zip which you initially extracted to your internal storage to select and flash it. Afterwards proceed back to recovery main menu and reboot the device. The device is now rooted.
CHECKING FOR ROOT:
Download root checker from Google Play store to check whether your device has been successfully rooted or not.
Rooting is mainly done to install various Custom ROMs on your device for look, feel or performance enhancement. Disabling pre-installed applications to improve battery life and processing is one added benefit of rooting. Though it may have serious repercussions rooting android phones still remains a popular method to access restricted functionalities of your device thereby improving the stability and efficiency attributes of it.
Congratulations! Your Lenovo K3 Note has been Successfully ROOTED.
