Since the launch of Xiaomi in India, MIUI has garnered appreciation and warm welcome from millions of smartphone users. Redefining the original Android user interface MIUI has just paved way for better designing and customization on Android smartphones. Corresponding to each new release users have been awestruck by custom tweaks which each MIUI version tends to offer. Under the focus of recent launch of MIUI 7 a plethora of new and innovative features were unveiled making MIUI 7 the next generation custom ROM.
Xiaomi packed its newly developed custom OS MIUI 7 with four aesthetic and never before seen themes namely High Life, Ocean Breeze, Pink Brush and Rose. Apart from icons, menu and custom interface each theme offers Lock Screen customization also. Alongside, these newfangled themes MIUI 7 offers access to over 15000 other themes from the store. MIUI7 is even more enriching and enhancing in terms of graphics and user interface.
While OSes until now have offered varying text size displays, Xiaomi’s new MIUI 7 is said to top the notch as it pleads support to XXL text size display. The move is followed by the recent trends that suggest rising demands for phablets and hence, XXL text display is need of the hour for smartphones based on 5.5′- 6′ inch display.
IMPROVED SPEED AND POWER:
MIUI 7 does not focus on customization rather on performance too. It is said to offer 30% better response time to gestures and input actions making it quick and efficient to deliver. Also if what Xiaomi claims is true then MIUI 7 aims on improving battery life by using power saving methods by 25%. Centered around not only design but performance also, MIUI 7 is the best bet out there.

CHILD MODE AND BABY ALBUM:
MIUI 7 offers whitelisting of applications and restricted access to messages and emails when operated under Child Mode. Hence, the user can now be relaxed to impromptu loss or change of settings or files while the device is being used by their children. Another notable feature Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 boasts is Baby Album. The function recognizes images with pictures of baby and sorts them up in a folder Baby Album. Thus, easy swipe and access to baby images is now possible on Xiaomi devices running MIUI 7.
Xiaomi has partnered alongside Opera Max to provide a new Data Saver feature which compresses the browser, in-app media and other background data usage activities to reduce data usage by almost 50%. MIUI 7 will release this feature around September globally.
DND AND SMS FILTRATION:
MIUI 7 offers an auto DND function when paired with MI band. It detects whether has the user dozed off and drives the phone on DND mode and unlocks the phone from DND mode once the user awakens. SMS filtering is also coming to Xiaomi devices as MIUI 7 promises to separate nameless contact messages and copying of OTP pins directly from the pop up notification tray onto the clipboard.
Thus, it can be correctly predicted that MIUI 7 will bring along a new meaning as to how a user interface is perceived and will definitely raise the bar a level higher where customization tweaks and functionalities of a custom OS are concerned.
